Many things.
Part of it has to be the ability to go places and seek adventure. Also [ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oNyXYPhnUIs"]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oNyXYPhnUIs[/ame] |

NFS HP2 was the start of it I suppose. Was all about that 911 turbo.
Switched interests between cars, planes, sports, anime and, of course, girls for a while so I guess I wasn't really a car person until Junior year in college when I bought my Saab 93. That started me looking at what I was going to get after college and that was the proverbial rabbit hole... Honestly, in retrospect I have an FRS specifically because of Initial D. |

1st gen Acura NSX. There used to be this Cub Scouts magazine called "Boy's Life". Most of it was about boring outdoor stuff I wasn't interested in, but one issue featured exotic cars and there was a picture of a red NSX with black targa top. I remember thinking it was so much cooler looking than all the boring cars I'd seen on the road. Still have a soft spot for the NSX even to this day.

My Dad's old MKIV Supra, which went on to get painted Orange and become the star of the first F&F movie. I was 9 at the time, I kind of had an interest in cars... in the sense that I liked cool looking cars that I would see on the street... but this car caused me to really get hooked.

My dad had his own business and workshop at home, and I was never really interested, because to me he worked his ass off and never really came out ahead. His work wasn't on cars, but with lathes and milling and all sorts of machining. But whenever car work was required, he'd have the engine out of his Hilux or be replacing something, and I barely helped - that's something I would love to spend time with him doing now, but can't since parents now live on the other side of the country.
But I used to drive a 1.3 Toyota Tazz (South Africa only?) back in 2006/7, but was gifted my mom's RunX RSi (2ZZ engine) in 2011 when she bought a new Etios (ya, we're a Toyota family). I think I fell in love and wanted to know more about cars the very first time I pushed that it to 8k rpm and hit the limiter. A year later the 86 appeared and I've been waiting ever since to buy one. I've become much more interested in other cars too and can't wait to one day have a garage/workshop where I can be a bit more like my dad. |

What got me into cars?
It's always been the door frankly. (I'll get my coat).

Born in the 80's but it was classics from the 50's that got me into cars.

Nice, my first car was a 1st gen Neon coupe. I think people forget how good of a car it is for its era. I remember the Nitro was fairly polarizing at the time, but now I think it's pretty cool, it's almost retro at this point.
