Congrats to Lugod on his championship! Fantastic first run Day 1 and way to deliver what you needed on the last run of Day 2 with your back against the wall. Congrats to all the others in the trophies.
I had to leave early due to the hurricane looming in Florida thus didn't run Day 2. I was sitting 28th after Day 1, so it didn't matter much other than not getting to run the West course. Ended up being the first time I hadn't trophied at nationals since my first appearance (5 trophies in a row at nats until this year)--a testament to how tough the competition in this class is, methinks. My car during the Pro was an abomination. All the turns after the slalom it would just plow on exit. Turned out I had accidentally reversed my front-end shock settings--the compression set almost full stiff in the front and the rebound almost full soft. Also had a ton of toe-out and almost zero camber in the right-rear according to an alignment rack I took it to. Car was way way better for the championship after addressing these issues...but the driver wasn't. Our camera flew off the car during my co-drivers first run and was destroyed so I have no videos but pretty sure most of my time was probably because I just drove like a total wimp in the offsets before the showcase and didn't execute the finish that well on any of my runs. Now for decisions for me for next year. Run STX again and work on my driving/setup? Or drive my SS 1LE as an underdog in AS. I'm very lucky to have two super fun to drive cars at the moment--albeit in completely different ways. It is going to be a tough decision. |

What are all my STX guys running for sway bar end links? I'm currently using the Perrin rigid end links in the front and I'm getting that lower control arm contact after lowering the car

Got part numbers on that? The white line I've got is awful to keep tight and adjust in any reasonable amount of time. I've been meaning to do a 'custom' on the front.
Did OSH hardware out of the bins on the rear for $60-$80 iirc but the front will see a bit more stress... |

These look short enough to do the job (maybe too short, I haven't tried them yet): https://raceland.com/end-links/scion-frs-end-links.html
These also maybe are short enough, and have the added benefit of being very slim on the far side so you can get more camber without the endlink smacking the inside wall: http://racerxfabrication.com/frs-brz...ront-end-links I haven't tried messing with this, but if you have caster adjustability, try reducing caster. I have a hunch that more caster makes the problem worse. |

I ran the Whiteline links. They're too long (easy to fix, cut them shorter, like 1") and a huge PITA to adjust when changing positions on the bar because they're so big. That said, I much prefer the balljoint design to a heim joint, but realistically... It's not a huge deal.

The part number I posted is of the shorter whiteline endlink.
They've clearly rubbed the car because I have MCS shocks, too, but I couldn't keep the heims tight when I tried to make my own endlinks. |
