Protip: Knock the cat out of your stock header, and have a local flash on the OFT Stage 2 EL tune with cold start disabled. That will help you experience a good part of your equation with minimal expense, and get some dirt cheap power!

Also, back up to a bail of hay, my neighbor used to complain about my FXT, so I started backing it up to a bail of hay and they couldn't hear it at all anymore.

Custom made, full stainless with resonator.
The closest off the shelf is the Perrin (which I really wanted but couldn't get here), so got one made as close to that as I could.

Well, OK, that's nice ......

I reckon a FI car would be handy for making quick trips to buy pickles and ice cream and later on, emergency trips to to the store to get more Pampers and baby wipes .......

NO! ...... an old T-shirt and a wash cloth will NOT work in an emergency .... I tried that .......

sort of. cars start with a higher idle cold start for two reasons. one is to warm up the cats, but two is to aid in warmup and engine lubrication. Cars also start very rich AFR on cold start for a similar reason. I wouldn't mess with the cold start revs unless i had to, and if i'm comfortable letting the car idle 1-2 mins every single cold start.

thanks for the replies. Still wanna know if the S/C on its own will alter Corsa's volume by virtue of increased air throughput. Would also be nice to find out if there is a universal muffler silencer I can fit? Don't think my future wife will appreciate hay bales on the drive way

Join your local FT86 club and then you can listen to different exhaust systems. It's a great way to get advice and you can listen to exhaust systems in person. Youtube videos aren't the greatest. My local FT86 club no one had Perrin but I bought it anyway after doing lots of researching and talking to car parts companies like 86 speed and DSG Performance.

I have. Only one guy with a corsa and he has catless headers, so it's not representative of my future setup

OK, for your hotsey totsey future wife ....... Bubba suggests you buy one of these, cut it in half, place each half over the tail pipes till the engine goes off cold start. By all means, paint it a designer color, chosen by your future wife .....

That my friend is a straight through, glass packed muffler.

We used to call them "cherry bombs".

Back-in-the-day, we would replace the OEM muffler with one of those and cut our 1/4 miles times by 2 seconds and increase top speed by 20 mph ......
