Windows on right is one bedroom with bunks running lengthways along the side so one window.
Windows on the left is another room with a double bed below and a bunk above. They run across the front so two small windows.

A couple weeks ago I had to go to a funeral in ashfork, az. My grandpa lived in 40 acres in the mountains. The road was rocky, bumpy, hills, etc. the frs took it well. However this last weekend I had a bolt from my front pipe/header disappeared. Open headers are loud.

I've done long stretches of dirt roads over the top of the Green Mountains in VT and through the Berkshires in MA. Neither were perfect for more than a mile or two at a time and I had two bikes on the hitch rack out back. The smooth sections were a hoot and it bottomed out a few times on the rough sections or through waterbars. Both were sooooper fun and my car came through like a champ! Now I look for dirt road options and if they end up too rough I turn around or back out until I can turn around. I've seen a couple of mildly lifted twins in my area and think I might go that way if I keep the car for a few more years.

I brought it on some gravel and it is a lot of fun managing the lack of traction, but the stiff suspension doesn't mix well with any type of washboard road surface. So at least in that case it was a mixed experience.

Yeh owning a Land Cruiser and riding on uneven terrain a longer travel suspension is key.

Did it last week.

Went camping with the fam and found a super twisty dirt road on the way.. stayed there about an hour going up and down. It was gravel but with few potholes and literally nothing for miles.. One of the best times ive had in my FRS so far.

I'm considering it since I'll be moving to Arizona soon and I feel like it would be great to just rip around the desert at full throttle.

It is definitely a niche culture to bring RWD offroading/rallying though. The general consensus is that AWD and FWD are superior in inclement conditions like those. RWD may be fun, but you are supposedly gimping yourself. It's the exact opposite as you would expect from the track.

But then I saw the (new) Top Gear episode with Patrick Dempsey and he mentioned rally driving with Porsche 911s. Rally modified Porsches look absolutely sick, but an FRS with fat tires and mud flaps? I dunno, it looks kind of awkward to me if I'm being completely honest. Getting over the bad aesthetic has been the biggest hurdle for me.

They managed to rally cars well before FWD and AWD existed just fine. The others may be better for it but any car can be rally driven.

Went camping in the FRS once.

I met a guy who I guess did some rallycross in a mostly stock FRS. Apparently it works pretty good, but you won't catch me doing it... On purpose at least.
