However, the ticket was dismissed due to the issuing officer not appearing in court, as some of the posts in that thread have pointed out.

That doesn't work here anymore. They changed the law so the cop just has to provide a written statement for most traffic violations.

Reddit is shit for any long form discussion, start a thread and it's near impossible to find one week later. Great for hard parkers to get validation upvotes for posting pictures of their perfectly detailed 'whips' in HDR on backroads at magic hour before they drive to In n Out for the evening.
