Was the stall accompanied by a super strong smell of gasoline in the cabin? Serious question.

If it was fuel starvation it would have re-fired. Once the car stopped doing donuts and the fuel level in the tank settled in like a normal 1/4 tank, it would have been like pouring in a couple gallons after running out. It'd fire right back up.

I'm wondering if it wasn't oil starvation and the car stalled out to protect itself. In high-G situations for long periods (even on some long corners on track days if you have sticky tires) the engine can experience oil starvation. Centrifugal force doing donuts for a long time could do the same.

A couple years ago I had a mind-blowingly weird fuel issue that, to this day, I haven't been able to understand. It started with me pulling out of a parking spot on a steep incline. I had to feather the clutch and jiggle my way backward to make room before turning away from the curb and roll down the incline under full engine braking. While rolling, the MIL popped, the engine stalled and the cabin was literally filled with unburned fuel vapor as if someone spilled a cup of gasoline. It was insane.

I was sure a fuel line came loose but when I popped the cover, nothing. The code ended up having something to do with the evaporative emission control system pressure.

Reinstalled the fuel pump cover, the back seats, and that was that. Never happened again.

Interesting. Yeah it wouldn't refire for at least an hour after that happened (I kept trying intermittently while waiting for the AAA wrecker), but then today about 10-12 hours after the issue, it would. Crazy weird shit, man.

See ...... I fixed it for you.

If you drive down here to the fair ...... don't be doing donuts down here .......we got this cop that just waits for an FR-S/86 to cut up .......

That was the symptom that we had in common. I wonder if it doesn't have something to do with somehow soaking the charcoal canister.

Donuts are fun. That's the whole reason for having RWD, you old curmudgeon.

OP, what you describe is a clear case of "vapor lock".

I was looking for a parking spot that would not inconvenience anybody so was slowly circling the retirement home where I volunteer for 4 hours a day to make crafts and entertain the elderly and since I had a basket of kittens that I rescued from a burning house in the passenger seat was doing under my usual 5 mph speed when driving when suddenly my car stalled and would not start"
