MI: fire damage engine (core) + transmission

Engine and trans from the infamous viscontifried BRZ. Own a piece of history, maybe even rebuild the engine. I don't care, get it out of my basement, I'm sick of looking at it.

$2k for the setup, not incl. the overpipe /midpipe laying on top of it. or, you know, make offers.

I work at a tool & die plant so I'm sure I'd be able to palletize it and ship it out if I separate the engine and trans, otherwise pickup from my house in Pontiac, MI.

the transmission is worth ~$1000 because it's still fine, the engine shortblock is what, $2k new from subaru, so say a grand with under 20k on it would be a great deal, then you get rebuildable heads.

am I taking crazy pills here?

EDIT: I'll keep my comments to myself. Good luck with the sale.

What the world happened to it obviously fire but how'd it catch fire? Is it a standard or auto transmission, I'd give you 1250 for both if there is no internal damage and I'd a range the freight all you'd have to do is pallet it up and let me know where to send the driver.

What year did it come out of not that it matters that much

Probably need some crazy pills. The fluids inside that engine are baked on. The temps that engine saw make it highly unlikely it's usable for anything. Sorry man, just my opinion!
