FA20 Individual Throttle Bodies

A friend of mine sent me an intriguing project by a small company in Japan called EMC. The red prototype has been developed into the blue one below, which seems to try to manage flow in the compact low hood engine bay.

In the latest Hyperev 219, Sard debuted a car with a very similar system, minus the plenum. Anyway, here is the video that gives an idea to what the FA20 motor sounds like:

For more information on EMC's ITB kit please visit their website:

emc-eng.net/products_86_brz.html

Some inspiration for @celek and his amazing efforts in this area!

Update: I contacted EMC and they have provided me with a dyno for the 1st car below. I am checking to see if this is a standard car or if it was modified in any other way. Please note that the dyno is misleading as they seem to rev the car up to only around 7,300rpm or so. The scale on the x-axis is a little strange. According to them, the dip in the higher RPM has been fixed too.

Update: Here is the spec of the car they dynoed (excuse the google translate)

EMC is Endo
We are tuning the contents of the engine relationship of EMC 86
The engine body is normal
Exhaust Mani exchange first catalyst less
Front pipe normal
Muffler 60 pie original Titanium
Lightweight flywheel
EMC4 series throttle
CPU HKS flash Editor
Others are normal

Let's see if we can fan the flames of development! It will be wonderful to see a high revving NA FA20 motor one day.

It has a MAF sensor still and there will be one motor to control the ITBs. Ergo it's no different to tune than any other intake.

Kinda off topic and wishful thinking.... These gains look similar to those of a Tuned ACE header on a stock car. I wonder what would be possible with both of these systems combined!
