From what I was reading, it's "audioless" (no HU, but still get the 8 speakers), a non touch screen HU, a touchscreen nav unit, or a DVD/nav unit. Seems like they have a lot of choices in Japan for the 86.

Like Kaotic stated, in Japan, there are more than 2 options for head unit, so most of the cars don't come with one & let the dealership install it. That's why in the photo they don't have it

Don't bikers say sound saves lives? I remember my dad was huge on having a loud exhaust on his Harley so others could at least hear him.

Not sure, but that thought to me has always been logical as I usually hear bikes first before seeing them when I drive.

Loud exhaust is louder if you're behind em. If you're in front, it's not that loud.

Also having loud exhaust or not, teen driving her parent's SUV blasting Tay-tay & txtin' won't hear or see you. Ask my friend, he got rammed by one of those on freeway last summer. My friend's bike, I can hear few miles away... LITERALLY! FYI my friend is fine other than very small scratches. His bike? Didn't make it.

I know it'll be louder if you're behind them, but you can still hear a bike approaching you with an aftermarket pipe on it.

But you do have a valid point of people blasting their music and generally just being distracted. My thinking is if I can reach one or two senses, then there's a better chance of breaking their distraction.

That's good that your friend was fine.

They say that, but it isn't proven.

Bikers say a lot of shit that has never been proven. Most of it seems to either justify what they want to do or is just simple urban legend.

I already drive the 86 like I ride my bikes. If you drive like you're invisible you can avoid a lot of problems.

I heard the original name of the new color is Solid Blue Metallic, or Solid BM for short.

Pretty much hit the nail on the head...

I've owned bikes off and on my entire adult life. The only thing that is of any real benefit is situational awareness. If someone isn't going to bother to look for you, them hearing you is no better.

Regardless of what you are riding/driving/flying you need to realize the only person looking out for you is you.
