Ultramaroon: BTW, have you tried to compare part numbers of 2017 vs older for all possible involved parts? As if it should enable should come from steering angle vs wheel slip, i guess it might be list of:
- wiring harness
- electric powersteering (my guess from where steering angle comes. Probably different, as IIRC in MY2017 one of enhancements were fixed it's overheating/switching off during heavy track use)
- main ecu chip (as vsc reset happens via obd/techstream, might be related?)
- wheel slip sensors
- abs module (as disabling abs fuse disables all of nannies)
- your mentioned brake actuator
.. and whatever else that may make sense as possibly being related to VSC implementation.
If most of parts are of same part numbers, i guess there is higher chance of just brake actuator being the part to change ..

^^ I would assume by brake actuator he meant ABS module?
