OEM HP Crapacy tires - what is the lowest temp?
I am wondering what is the lowest temperature before they become hard and dangerously crappy vs regular crappy?
I am attempting to figure out when I should buy my Sotozero Pirellis for "winter" |

I'm going to get shit for this but I don't sweat it until there's snow or ice on the road. I'll probably swap my wheels when I start seeing morning frost instead of dew.

40F and below they start to suck. Especially cold when you first start driving.

42 degrees. You get them to freezing and they are unpredictable and dangerous.
Don't play the "I can wait one more week" game or you may get caught in the cold and things get squirrely fast.

Around 40 they slip a lot, but they are not undrivable. At around 20, they become pieces of round ice attached to your wheels.

They are very good in the rain. Nothing at all bad about them in the rain, driving them fast and making sharp turns. The HP primacies are totally fine in the rain. I dont know why people say otherwise. Consumer reports has the brz wet braking at a really nice stopping distance too. The BRZ 2017 on stock hp primacies is very acceptable, it just is a summer tire and a bit useless for its price.
