I double clutch on upshifting out of years of habit driving vintage cars.
In my other cars, your dog teeth wear out, you're looking at a $3000 repair, minimum.

You're the first person I have ever heard even discuss double clutching on upshifts.

But but you gotta love how the backpedal makes his claim of a typo mean that double clutching on down shifts is the "silliest thing" he has ever heard even though he started a poll on who does it.

It is OK as long as you double clutch into second and don't granny shift. If you don't you may blow the welds on your intake and overnighting parts from Japan is expensive.

i dont know how to clutch sorry, when i floor it i usually get it to 4 thousand then flick this little paddle, i think the dealer said i'd get more women if my car had paddles.

Well there's your problem. You need to double flick to keep the RPMs low until you open the NOS valve.

I actually dont know if double flicking is a good or bad thing with the automanual, I tend to not do it. Actually, to be honest I usually let the car downshift itself.

I've heard many nightmares about these like manual automatic transmissions being dogshit so I try to keep it simple. I seriously have had a nasty habit of flooring it though, gotta get out of it. I guess thats a part of being 18 and daily driving this thing lmfao

likes fast car, needs to set example for younger drivers like myself on how NOT to use their car.

Everytime i slam it in first gear at a fresh greenlight and hear my lovely muffler delete exhaust note, in the back of my mind i get a lil worried then remember, It's a yota', it'll last anything.

Haha... I got my first ticket in this car last weekend. Full car with 3 of my grandkids with me. "Ok guys, this is how we get a speeding ticket."
