I'd say - check ebay lots from time to time. Ordering/shipping via scion/toyota dealership might make it too expensive.
Meanwhile i don't get what's there to "not recommend a space saver". Imho it's only slightly heavier then repair kit and also leaves all the trunk space usable, yet something that can be much more relied upon. One has to remember to not put it in rear (or if rear one is flat, then put "normal wheel" from front there and spacesaver in front), due our cars having LSD, which can be easily overheated/damaged, if wheel diameters on driving end sides differs, even if slightly. |

Did anyone ever come up with a part number for the trunk mat shown above? I want to keep a full sized spare as well.

Hi guys,
I found almost by accident that steel 18x3.5 inch space saver rim with 125/70R18 tyre made for Volkswagen is a perfect fit for the original 205/55R16 or 215/45R17 Toyota 86/Subaru BRZ wheels. Of course, it is the correct PCD of 100 mm and 5 studs. The only minor difference is the VW rim centre hole of 59 mm against the Toyota 56.1 mm See below: Space saving spare 18 inch diameter with 125/70R18 tyre: overall tyre diameter: 632 mm tyre circumference: 1986 mm revolution per kilometer: 503 Standard fitment: 205/55/R16: overall tyre diameter: 632 mm tyre circumference: 1986 mm revolution per kilometer: 503 Optional fitment: 215/45R17 overall tyre diameter: 625 tyre circumference: 1962 mm revolution per kilometer: 509 Such a good fit is almost unheard of. My 17 BRZ PP came with a tyre repair can. I phoned a Subaru wrecker here in Melbourne, asked for space saver spare wheel from a WRX/STi PCD 5x100 17inch and $150 later I have a spare which fits in the boot space under the floor. The boot liner still sits flat as designed. Happy
