Thanks man, that's exactly what I was thinking for the battery setup. The 2015+ tri-coat k7X WRB color still amazes me sometimes when I catch it in the right light, it has so much depth to it.

@Inextirpable Do you have a shot with that front lip from head on? I'm curious to see how it looks when looking straight at the front.

Looks great man, how was the fitment. I did a dry fit and everything seemed to fit great, was the front lip pretty hard to get on?

Fitment is great! I ran a replica STI lip prior to this, and the Rexpeed lip fits better than that did. The install was not hard at all, even easier if you have a second set of hands available.

New addition for a little extra peace of mind. Quik-Latch Black Cerakote QL-38 hood latch kit. Installation was super easy and took probably an hour.
These things are awesome, I was originally going with Aerocatch but my friend told me about these. They're completely flush mounted and they latch as soon as you close the hood, to open them you just push the center button and there's this very satisfying click/pop and the hood is released. All the hardware is high quality stainless steel, a bit pricey for hood latches but IMO worth every penny. If you email Quik-Latch directly they will give you a 10 percent discount. Same hood pins used on the McLaren P1 GTR race cars so they should hold up to BRZ daily duties just fine. Last edited by Dan37BRZ; 08-09-2017 at 01:54 AM. |

Update 8/30/17.
A few little things were added.
MTEC clutch spring installation was SUPER easy. After reading all the horror stories of people having a hard time getting the stock spring out, I went ahead and added a couple zip ties to the stock spring while the pedal was in the up position and fully compressed. Then I took out the c-clip and pin holding the assembly on, pushed the pedal all the way to the floor and literally reached up with some pliers and took off the stock spring with no drama. Still undecided if I want to keep the side vents from INTEC, what do you guys think?
The battery tray from FT86speedfactory DOES NOT fit the Shorai battery, I think it's only made to fit the Braille 11lb unit. Anyways, the stock tie down actually works if you flip it upside down. Voila, saved me $90 and it holds the Shorai battery super secure actually. As far as performance, wow I don't know if my stock battery was on it's way out but after putting this thing in, the car cranks super quickly. I've never heard the starter spin up so quick ever since I had my car, let's see how long it holds up. Looking at these photos reminds me how much I need to detail my engine bay. Yikes.
