Personally, I think I hit about 100 once on skyline at about midnight when I first bought the car. I don't go that fast because I think I wouldn't do well in jail.

Back in the 80s (maybe 70s as well?) a lot of domestic cars had speedometers that only went up to 85 mph. And back in the 80s and part of the 90s most JDM cars had speedometers that maxed out at 180 kph (roughly 112 mph).

Coming back from Arizona yesterday down hill a bit. I saw 126 MPH in 6th.
On the way there on a part of the road that was flat. I saw 116 MPH, in 5th. It took a long time on the flat road and it was just at red line in 5th. Ron
