A Distracted Driving Ticket sounds like a bullshit excuse for law enforcement to give out tickets and collect revenue, just like a window tint ticket.
One day when we are all in our government mandated self driving electronic cube transportation units, how are they ever going to make up for all that lost cash?

With lawyers we will still have cars we drive, they will just make the registration fee for "drive yourself" cars $10,000 a year. That's how they will get you in a self driving pod, eat your Soilent green, and conform.

Soylent green is people and you already know that but some youngsters in here are in for a treat someday.

Bullshit it aint. Three years ago a cell phone yakking bitch in a Tahoe came within a gnats eyelash of killing me. Two months ago another distracted bi*ch in another SUV drove her Armada into the front of my BRZ while I was stopped at a light. My preferred solution now for distracted drivers is a .45 caliber brain drain. The time for tickets is over.

Calm down, you'll get your pod soon enough.

I know what you're saying about driving and texting/talking/etc that impair driving though. I'm just speaking as a person who got pulled over and was blatantly lied to and told I was over the speed limit
when I was clearly not and was watching it closely as he tailed me. Then he started in about my license plate cover and whatever else he could think of before he had to leave and run to a missing child situation.
You give them a way to give out tickets easily and they will make sure they are given out. Just like the OP here was worried about, all they have to do is say you did it and then ticket with no argument. We know how
our government treats a situation where they have more control than they should have. Ask all those people who are victims of unfair civil forfeiture for how trustworthy law enforcement can be.

I agree. I see everyone next to me driving with thier phone in their hand. It won't stop until they start jailing people for it.

Op is in the clear. If you didn't get pulled over, nothing happened.

Or is there like a portable camera for photos to go along with the ticket like red light tickets?
Why don't you look up the ticket for yourself?

So how are you when you are waiting for lab results from the doctor? Do you get cancer during the wait? You seem to over react?
