Starting to love this car even more

This post is for everyone who says this car is too slow. Stick some e-85 in the tank and tune the thing. The car has so much more power running on e-85. Its almost like a different car. I am running on 93 currently but have to switch back to e85 (it has way more power) and am gonna have Shiv make me a custom e-85 tune for my car.

If you start to think the car's not fun any more, check your tire pressure, and then your blood pressure because you might not be alive!

Garage
I don't really need power when I'm enjoying the car in corners.

You do realize that about 95% of Canada and 60% of the US do not have access to e85 right? May be a great fix for some but it is not the ultimate solution.

I did not know that in Canada it was that hard to get e-85. I assumed it was comparable to where I am. 1 station that basically services my whole area.

I know this is not the place to ask this but has anyone on here ever have Shiv create them a custom tune remotely? I know I need to ask in the tuning section but just curious.

Yeah we sell lots of flex fuel vehicles up here but no one sells the fuel for them ...

There was 1 station in Vancouver that had it but I think it is closed now. The only other source near me is special order only, so that kind of sucks if you ever want to drive out of town. As far as I know there is 0 availability in the rest of my province.

You must be in South Florida because the nearest E85 source for me is in Fort Pierce. About a 150 mile round trip for me. I used to make the trip and pick up 50 gallons at a time. But that was back when 93 oct was about $4.00 a gallon. So the price vs. performance difference was worth it. But not anymore.
You're right the car does run better on alcohol, but not THAT much better.

The entire principle of using food to make fuel in an era of plentiful petroleum is batshit crazy.

But when that era runs out, if we don't have that "better battery" or a sufficient EV/hydrogen network/solution I'd bet big money that we start growing fuel for combustion.

Biodiesel is a lot closer to being viable than any other crude oil alternative I've seen. As long as the sun is shining and the earth is spinning, we should be able to grow combustible fuel. (And, hopefully by then we're on our way to solve that little issue where humans go hungry)

E85 is, at best, a stopgap propped up by government subsidy. Nifty for enthusiasts at the moment though.

There is a station in Melbourne (Marathon on Eau Gallie just east of 95) and a station in Palm Bay (RaceTrac on Palm Bay Road just east of 95) with E-85.
