Ohlins (SUS MP20) Stage

I was looking into getting new strut (coilover update) for my BRZ, and was looking at the Ohlins and noticed there were different stages (1, 2, 3)? Does anyone know what the stages mean?

I noticed the ones from the Ohlins Site have the spring rate of F/R 4k/3k.

While ones from Works Motor Sport have spring rate of F/R 6k/7k

Any thoughts on this?

The ones with 6k f and 7K R are discontinued apparently. The new ones are with softer spring rates. Not sure why they did this....
