if you know for sure the stock car holds no interest for you then get yourself a used bmw 135i, install a quaife or mfactory lsd in it and call it a day. you can pick up cpo'ed ones for almost the same money as what you'd spend on your brz plus supercharger kit and youve got your speed off the bat. sounds like you have the money to pay for german car upkeep so there you are.

I think you are assuming that a Supercharger would net you more power. That's incorrect. Turbo's are the best power for this car. Most people running a supercharger on stock internals are getting about 330 whp on e85. (rough number). And thats basically pushing the SC to its limit. Very few people are past that limit and if they are, they have a built motor, smaller high boost pulley and running E85. And i think the most ive seen is 450 whp.

With just the JDL Turbo which is 2999$ you can hit 280-300 whp on PUMP gas. 91-93. It also has the potential to go higher. And the best thing about turbo kits? Want more power? Put a bigger turbo on it.

The PTuning turbo kit can achieve 450 whp on pump gas (built motor recommended) and with the bigger upgraded turbo can hit 600+.

If you want power, buy a turbo. You want reliability, buy a supercharger.

Lol turbo or two and supercharging..... you're going to need to do a lot of research. This might be one of my favorite comments ever.

That's not even close to what I said, and you know it.

It's not a requirement. It's not almost a requirement. It's not even close to being a requirement. Even in many situations where more power would be helpful, it's still not a requirement.

It is a requirement if you want to drive like enough of a douche in traffic to impress ricers, hillbillies and guidos.

.....yyyeeaahhhh. I said almost a requirement and you equate it to racing mustangs stoplight to stoplight. Its very close to what you said, how can you deny that?

So, you are saying a bump in power is only to drive like a douche in traffic?

Really not understanding the hate for more power in the car.

I said nothing about standards or shamed anybody's "vision". That was your interpretation of a simple statement on his seemingly contradictory statements.

You can't modify the bodywork of a car who's design you like? I would think anyone who adds a body kit to their car appreciates the fundamental design of their car to begin with. Duh.

I am still keeping the Mercedes but I am looking to buy a used BRZ and do some custom work to it. I would most likely be putting a body kit on it (like a matte grey wrap), i am not to fond off slamming it and making it super low, although if it gets slightly lower i am okay with that. I realize the speed is a lot slower, but i am thinking of a Cossworth stage two supercharger to add to it, making the speed a little better. I am wondering everyones thoughts on that and if there are a lot of problems with the supercharge and BRZ in general. I am doing BRZ because i love the look and for 15-18k i can get a slightly used one and have budget left over for custom work
It's your money, do you want with it. Why ask for approval from a bunch of strangers?

With that said, your "vision" for your future BRZ doesn't seem to align with the majority thinking on this forum.

If you like it, why modify it?
