Sounds like doing an inch on the Flex Z and driving it around to see if it's enough would be the way to go. Be sure to get an alignment and give it some time before you decide to go lower and add LCA's, or just do it all at once. Once you pass an inch, you're compromising geometry.

Yup, 25mm all around. At stock height it was good but now that I'm dropped the rear is a bit in for my taste, needs more poke. That natural camber pulled the top in taking away some poke. A 30mm, maybe even 35mm in the rear would be nice. It really doesn't bother me though, I'll be buying some new wheels in a couple months.

Is the stiffest from the right? Or left? I have 32 clicks, but 16 is the max. But I'm not sure if it's from the right or left...

These are roughly the same price as the MeisterR in the group buy section. How do you think these compare ?

I have heard nothing but great things about KW V1 and ST Suspension. You couldn't go wrong with either of those. I have not heard much about Skunk 2. Also you need to think about what you plan on doing with the car; track, auto-x, drift, or just street. Things to think about. |

Just a quick review after installing and riding on flex z for a month daily and one track day.
For daily drive I really like how they ride coming from stock suspension and eibach pro kit springs. I started out at 7 clicks from full stiff and it felt pretty good. Comparable to stock ride and comfort levels with a bit more control in corners. I backed it down to 10 clicks from full stiff and am really happy with that. To me feels even a bit more comfortable and cushy over bumps and rough roads. Very smooth ride overall and I would say as many have, it is a better ride than the stock suspension. My ride height is set at about 25 1/4 inches from the ground to top of wheel arches all around. It can go a bit lower but I don't want to further compromise the suspension geometry as the rest of my control arms etc are stock. I just did another track day at PIR and I feel like they did great. I bumped it up to 5 from full stiff all around and it felt pretty good. Didn't go fast enough to really put it through its paces but in the 2 and 3rd sessions I settled on 3 from full stiff up front and 4 in the rear. Other mods on the car are 225 mpss, header and tune. 2.9 camber front and 2.0 rear. As the pace picked up I could feel the weight transfer is quicker and more controlled in fast left right transitions I was able to carry atleast 5mph more speed in corners more comfortably. In all corners the stiffer spring rates and damping gave more confidence and control to push harder and attack corner entry and exit more. So a performance gain was definitely noticed coming from stock/springs. In long sweeping turns there is maybe slightly less body roll but you can definitely still feel it as I am on stock sway bars. As far as translating to improved lap times I was 2 tenths quicker that my previous fastest lap on stock/springs, but that was with a lift to let a faster car by so that was atleast a few tenths lost on my fastest lap of the day. I wasn't able to nail a decent lap without traffic. I did notice improvement though and the car was more planted and had more grip in transitions where as the stock setup would wallow and lose control waiting for the suspension to settle. I know these aren't track oriented performance coilovers but for a newbie like me I think they are a fantastic setup for daily and ocasional track or autocross days. I'm really happy with them especially for the price you can't go wrong. |

I love my MeisterR they have softer spring rates which make daily driving perfect with an aggressive drop.
