Sweet build. How much camber are you up front with just the bolts? I would imagine not enough to avoid uneven tire wear on the track? And how do you like the stock suspension with just the RCE Yellows?

swap the bottom bolt to the top, whiteline at the bottom.

i was able to achieve -2 up front.

I went to the track with oem suspension, then a year later i switch to RCE.

the car is very neutral handling. alot flatter going through corner, however it still very predictable when the tire starting to give out and car start to slide.

I turn off all nannies when im driving "competitively", pair the RCE with A rating performance tire is a great start off for a beginner, the car has more grip but not to the point where you wont notice driver error, still very easy to manage oversteer/understeer.

thanks! thats a huge compliment, it no where near perfect.

I've owned and modified quite a few car since 18 and pretty much ruined all of them. Taken all the lesson from the previous car and try not to ruin this one

Woke up early today went to pick up my new brakes from a local forum member.

I dont have much of a budget to play with, thankfully he gave me a really good deal.

Premium Blank Rotors
Hawk DTC-30

went home and started wrenching right away. I still have to bed them in tonight, probably have to go to "Mexico" to get them beded haha

The HAWK HP+ still have some life left in them. i will keep them as a spare in case of an emergency.

another shot from last autocross event

PITL3 by Apex 86, on Flickr

Next event is in a couple of day.

my new brake pad/rotors feel amazing, I might swap the front tire to the rear and take off my SARD wing the day before the event.

I though the Hawk HP+ was loud. oh boy these Hawk DTC is almost 2x times louder. I cringed a bit at every stoplight.

thanks,

I live in Canada, I drive this car all year round so an oil cooler might not be a good idea in the winter.

I usually keep my run time under 10-15 minutes on track to play it safe.

Good idea. What peak temp do you normally see before you call for a break?

210-230 which is good. I think the optimal temp when the engine is warm is around 200-215, this motor like to run hot.

I usually go for 1 warm up, 5-6 hot lap, then i'll cruise slowly 1 lap to cool off the brake.

I believe track guy who are more serious, they tend to run 20-30 minutes with an oil cooler.

and I also run a thicker oil in summer to helps with that as well.

Also, I would like to get a vented hood but that's out of my budget, it helps with the temp under the hood quite a bit.
