So now that I'm done with the door strap pull project I should be moving on to blasting and polishing the '17 red intake manifold... however, I need to address my side markers which have suffered from the dreaded shitty A-clip issue.

I'm going to pull my wheels off to gain more access... I am thinking of pushing the side marker into place and marking the tab that once held the A-clip on the other side of the opening it inserts into. Then I will drill a hole on the mark big enough to pass a cotter key through. I'll have to pull back the wheel well liner but I think I will have access to the cotter key hole. As long as I drill the hole really close to the edge of the opening, the cotter key should hold the side marker in tight.

I will find out if my course of action will be successful soon.

So I backed up and deleted all the images I had stored on Photobucket. Those links are forever dead... I am going to slowly reinsert images starting from the beginning of this thread...

Going to take a while being that this thread will be 3 years old in October (I think) . Please bare with me during the process.

Anything new I post will be hosted by Imgur.

FU Photobucket for making me use my already limited free time to fix the images in my thread.

Well... I had a change of heart... I'm not going to blast and polish the '17 OEM red intake manifold... it is staying red. I plan on polishing the Velox fuel rail brackets instead.

I'll fabricate a cover for the '17 OEM red intake manifold instead that I will polish to create some contrast between the manifold, fuel rails, and fuel rail brackets.

I'm currently looking over the installation manual and the OEM maintenance manual to make sure I understand all instructions and I will have everything I'll need for the installs.

I may be able to get to it on the 4th. We'll see... I'll have to get the fuel rail brackets polished before then. Shouldn't be too bad though... they are quite small.

stay tuned...

Definitely interested in seeing how this goes. Curious about the process of retrofitting it on your older car.
