The vision of driving with an over mitt is hilarious.

Waving at people with an oven mitt makes people look at your oddly.

About 5 years back, I remember a thread on NASIOC where a guy used a baby mitten to cover his shift knob and it seemed to work and didn't look too bad.

Chris sells half copolymer, half metal shift knobs. Top half isn't hot, bottom half gives you that weight. I mean, if you want to burn your hand, continue on friendo.

The copolymer is 105g, the hybrid is 160g, and the steel is 465g, plus I just like the look of the steel better. I put a sock over it and every once in a while I have to use it while driving, not really a big deal to me.

With all the heat we've been having here, I took the sun shade from my other car and Ive been using it, albeit with a horrible fit, in the FR-S. After 6hrs of the car baking in the sun, the shifter is only warm. And I can touch the steering wheel too.

I cant wait for my new sun shade to come in though.

Yes, yes! We need a stainless or aluminum reverse lockout ring. The plastic one looks too cheap!

I think it makes the interior look much better and IMO, makes the shifts feel so much better. Very quick from order to receiving the product and absolutely beautiful. If anyone wants to upgrade, take a serious look at this place.

Is there a gap between the bottom of the knob and the reverse ring?

There has to be a gap because the reverse ring needs space to move upward, no?
