WC Lathe Werks Stainless Shifter

The stock shifter feel is pretty good but I felt it just needed some more heft behind it to take it to the next level. After reading the glowing endorsements of WC Lathe Werks, I decided on the stainless steel shifter with the shift pattern etched on the top. It arrived today and I installed it. I think it makes the interior look much better and IMO, makes the shifts feel so much better. Very quick from order to receiving the product and absolutely beautiful. If anyone wants to upgrade, take a serious look at this place.

There are pictures posted. Obviously you can't see them but can anyone else?

I think all it needs now is a slightly shorter shifter (I found it to be a bit high for me, especially compared to my MR2's shifter) and possibly a stainless reverse gate guard. But I love the look of it... A1

I like the height of it but that's definitely just a matter of personal preference. As far as the reverse lockout, I couldn't agree with you more. The cheap-looking nature of the plastic ring increased dramatically now that it's next to the new shifter. If someone makes a replacement, I will be all over that in a heartbeat.

I love my WCLW shift knob:

And I agree that the shifter needs to be shortened. And a stainless lockout would be great.

I ordered one too, but had some custom etching done... Can't wait for it to get here.... Now I need to find something to cover it when I get into a hot car.

The aluminum knob on my Civic gives me a nice burn if it's extremely hot out, and that has plastic sparco emblem on it...

Thats why I get the leather wrap. Its not much, but it does help. I learned that lesson the hard way in my Acura. I took a reading of it two summers ago and the knob itself was just under 150*.

Lol, yea, but I love the feel. ... Love hurts sometimes....

I just keep a white sock over it. If it's very hot outside then the shifter is still too hot to use but I just use it with the sock over it and it's still a FAR better feel than the stock. So much somother.

I used a sock for my Civic one winter cuz I had spare pairs since we were working in the snow and needed some. Otherwise I'd use my gloves, but that feels weird.

I found a Scion ipod sock I got for free at a Scion booth. It's grey and pink, lol. I'm probably going to use that for now...
