Oh and cops are not stupid. You would be better off says "I am sorry officer I know it was foolish and won't do it again".
Damn! That's my exact words to the officer & assistant of district attorney when I was caught driving @ 132mile.... on the way to salt flat.... or was going to.

In my defense.... there really was nothing but a straight road in the desert except "one dot".....that turns out to be a cop.

Learned my lesson.

On Sunday morning at around 8 am my highway commute to work is completely empty. Not a soul in sight. Figured I'd try a top speed run one day since I'd only kill myself if anything happened. It just so happened there was another car. Not on the road but in tall grass.

Sneaky bastards clocked me at 150+ got away with a ticket for $170 and 4 points.

Never again. #luckymotherfucker

You see a large open road with no cars, but this is what the cop sees (and puts in his report):

It's all fun and games and believe me I'm with you on the powersliding.. till u smash into a curb and need a new rim, control arms, toe arms and maybe bearings. If it's a huge habit, keep some money on the side for those parts... talking from experience. Curbs are your worst enemy.

Well, you see, it was cold afternoon and the roads were snow covered.

I was driving mrs humfrz's precious Saturn Aura XR. So, I was going to show her how the nannies (ABS, ESC, TC) would stabilize her car in a slide.

So, I went around this wide corner in our subdivision way too fast ...... and ..... the nannies did all they could, but couldn't save it ....from slamming broadside into a curb. Not at an angle ...... but square broadside.

mrs humfrz was pissed.

My lesson learned is not to rely upon the nannies ...... just "drive the damn car"!

THE END

The cop was nice enough to not put me in the jail, maybe cuz my gf was in the car sleeping. lol

See, proof our car is quiet even at 132.

*I notice cops treat you better if you got a girl riding alone! I kind got away from 2 tickets with girls in my passenger seat just not this one.

Lol it's a lot easier to admit your mistakes to an officer (if you actually made one). I got pulled over once for "dangerous lane changes" and the cop looks into my centre console to find a bag of weed. (I don't smoke anymore by the way and I never smoked and drove , I get too nervous). He asked me if it was weed. I looked at it and smiled and said "fuck" The officer Asked me to step out of the car, put me in cuffs and in the back of the cruiser. He went on to search my car. Comes back. He asked me questions and I was completely honest. He took the bag of weed, threw it in the sewers and let me go. Before I drove off he was like the reason why I let u go, is because you didn't try to bullshit, if you did, you'd be on your way to the station and your car would've been towed to impound.

Guys off topic question, How come my rear tires screech so much, and lose traction? Even if I add a little gas on 1st or 2nd gear the tires screech. Even turning from a deadstop causes the tires to make noise, at parking lots, stoplights? I live in Maryland, so the weather is in the high 90's. Its definitely the tires and not other parts like brakes etc.

The car only has 11,000 miles on it, and I just recently been doing some powerslides?

This is what happens when you powerslide a lot. at a good like at your tires, you probably fried the contact surface between your tire and the road. Mine do that too
