Dunno... but if it makes you feel better, I'm a U.S. citizen but have lived in northern NYS for most of my life. I went to college very far north NEAR the Canadian/U.S. border and, at the time, their beer was WAY better than ours. I left out the early parts of my beer learning curve... generic (yes, they really sold generic beer in the grocery stores in 1978), Iron City (worse than generic), Genesee Cream Ale (we used to think that was a treat!), Shlitz, Piels, Miller, Old Vienna... next to that stuff, the Canadian beers listed above were nectar. These days... well... the world has moved on, thankfully!

I'd be flattered to be considered an honorary Canadian, but I'm born/bred American.

People trying to get out of tickets they rightfully earned on a technicality is how Hitler came to power in the 60s and started World Wars The 1.

Since we're talking all wild hypotheticals here, right, let me add that if the bright-eyed-and-bushy-tailed Kampus Kop who wrote the ticket wanted to lift a finger, he could cruise the parking lot until he finds your car (how many electric blue BRZs can there be at your school?) and amend the tag number, if the tag even matters at all. Then they have you and you are reduced to the slimmest of technicalities (the "insufficient" documentation) and the unpaid fee is slapped on your forehead at registration next term.

I don't see the percentage in it. As Roger Thornhill's mother tells him at the police station after he has stolen and wrecked a Mercedes while drunk, he protesting loudly that it was attempted murder: "Oh, Roger, just pay the two dollars!" (North by Northwest, Alfred Hitchcock 1958)

No, if you mean the 60s, you mean Nixon.

Don't you dare pay it. It's your money, you worked for it, earned it and they don't deserve it. Giving out tickets for facing the wrong way hahaha the audacity on these people... What's next? Tickets for opening your door with the wrong hand...
