I just made the worst mistake

long story short, I just signed a contract on GBS BRZ which I initially thought it was WRB. It was midnight when I went to the dealership and I was so hyped up thinking that I would finally own a dream car so I couldn't tell if it was GBS or WRB. I test drove it -> liked it -> signed a contract -> went home only to realize it was GBS LOL. I must have been so high due to fact that it was my first time actually driving the car that I really wanted to drive for past couple years. No, I cannot cancel the contract and now I cannot do anything but convince myself GBS is actually better-looking color than WRB ... which isn't really the truth ... call me all you guys want I know I'm so dumb and stupid ... what should I do ?? I will post a pic of it once I pick up the car tomorrow just to prove it LOL.

I think you have a grace period where you might return your car to the dealership, but they might charge few hundred bucks for restocking fee.
The dealership that I bought my car from has 2 weeks grace period to return the car with $500 restocking fee. You might wanna check with your dealership.

They really won't let you roll the contract over to another new car when you haven't even picked up the first one? It's not like you're trying to bail and walk away entirely.

That said, GBS looks great with silver or gunmetal wheels. If my previous two Subarus hadn't been blue I'd have gone that route.

I seriously would consider trading my HyperBlue for a GBS BRZ. I love that midnight blue look. It's special and quite rare on BRZ's.

Yeah honestly, that dark blue is much better in my opinion. Personally WEB has lost its appeal over the years for me.

As the previous poster said, I hardly ever see the GBS color on the brz. It looks much more "mature" and I bet would grow on you if you kept it.

Also, did you ever discuss the WRB color with the sales team? If so and they sort of "let" you overlook it without mentioning anything, that could hold some weight?

can somebody please summarize this article for me? my capability of understanding this article is kinda hard since my English isn't perfect. Or should I just accept my stupidity and keep the GBS over WRB?

That means there's no cooling off period where you could come back the next day and return it after you had second thoughts. Some states allow it; some don't. I doubt they committed any type of fraud, since you saw the car before signing and signed the contract that had the VIN and probably paint code on it. In other words, you signed for it; you're stuck with it. Do they not have a WRB car on the lot and they're just seizing the chance to get rid of inventory?

Have you already arranged financing? Through the dealer or a private bank? If that's not been completely finalized then nothing is certain yet. When I bought my first new car the dealer called two days later and said the bank would need another $1500 down to keep the terms of the loan. I told them they could have the car back. They figured it out.

well thank you guys all for cheering me up ! didn't really expect that LOL. now I think about it, this color seems very rare on the BRZ and I don't mind being unique on the street at all. and @surfwaxsmitty, I, unfortunately, did not say anything about the color as I surely thought it was WRB.

Basically, in Georgia once you buy it there is now grace period where you can change your mind. You buy, it's yours.

However, later in the article it discusses fraud, and that would involve you getting a lawyer involved. Tough to say if they misrepresented the car to you. How much discussion did you have about the WRB color? Over how many visits? I mean, one could imagine a scenario where they have a customer who has poor color discernment in the vision, and is purchasing a car for perhaps their child. In that case the customer might be reliant on the dealership to make sure they were getting the intended color. And it could be fraud for them to trick the customer.

A situation such as that might have some weight. In your case, if you just knew you wanted WRB and signed on a car you didn't notice was not that color, I think you have to just accept it. .....accept that you accidentally bought a better color!

Edit- seen your previous response.. well then it's all good and just know that you will truly enjoy the car and there is a very high chance also end up loving such an awesome color!!!

@gramicci101, I appreciate it for you to actually summarize it for me. Yes, I've signed every paperwork including financial documents. But hey you know what? I'm just gonna accept it and deal with it LOL.

Here's a gorgeous example of dark blue. I've had a WRB car, and I'd rather have GBS.

Color schmolor...

I kinda wanted that blue color when I was about to test drive/buy mine but the dealership I was dealing with didn't have blue color in stock with a manual. I decided, after test drive, that I should buy the only manual they had, which was some kind of metallic gray color.

Never been happier with any other car.
