As those are clearly Pilot Sport 4 and not Pilot Sport 4S, I thought it might be helpful to look at some reviews of them in the market they currently reside in:
http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Tyre/Mi...ot-Sport-4.htm Look to be really well reviewed overall. |

Aero is always welcome for a higher performance car. It'll lose some top speed, but even this is preferable if you want to be safer and more planted. In fact, the BRZ is not a heavy car and aero is needed much more in comparison to other (heavy) cars. I don't get it why you're questioning the decision.

I think you have a better chance of seeing God! I waited 4 1/2 years with my 2013 BRZ and finally bought a 2017 Yellow Special Edition and had Crawford put their turbo in it.

Subaru teasing again... this time for the WRX...
"Hot wings. Brought to you by Subaru Tecnica International. 6/8 #STI #TypeRA" ![]() I really hope whatever the BRZ turns out to be, they make it available in all the colors, or at least white since that's what I want.

I disagree. Often when you add more traction sacrifices are made in other areas. If you never use 100% of your available traction in certain situations (i.e. 120+ mph), what's the point in having more traction? You're only making sacrifices in other areas (i.e. fuel economy, top speed, etc.) and not able to really benefit from more traction.

With better wheels and tires the potential should be a bit more. |

It wouldn't be. It's a limited production number run. Adding options to such a car would be even more costly for them. If you one, I'm sure you wouldn't have any problems finding someone to trade trunks with

That having been said, with downforce, the more you have, the faster you can go through a corner. Downforce = traction. So sure, there's a point where you have "too much downforce" because the drag on the straights outweighs the increased speed in the corners, but you rarely see that until you get to the fastest race cars. For a foil like the one that comes on the BRZ tS that won't be generating thousands of pounds of downforce, it's going to be beneficial every time you turn the wheel in anger. |

Let's ignore that other wing bc it's not relevant to this conversation. Have you spent much time with your car on a race track? Because forget about 120 mph. Let's say the BRZ's wing is fairly effective at 100 mph. Do you know how much time a 205 hp BRZ spends above 100 mph on an average track, especially in a TURN? Very, very little time. And with a big wing like that even less, thanks to the drag.
