Agree the rear struts were a bitch to get back in, especially the rear hub bolt which had bugger all clearance to remove and install.

Otherwise not too hard..

Not sure which one is proper, and I am not really worried about a couple of mm

Thought it might be to do with driver side bias or something... but it should be the opposite for RHD twins..

Unless I am just a fat bastard and have done it to the springs myself

I think I did it in about 3 hours, maybe closer to 4 on my own and taking a ton of time while doing it, lots of "hydration" breaks, since I don't like warn wobbly pops and just double checking the process on the forum.

I'd already done coils a few times on my car and a friend's car, so the removal was easy, but the little things like lining everything up, cutting the bump stops, etc were the real time suckers.

Pardon my ignorance, but are warn wobbly pops beer or something else?

Also, did you do the allen key in the hollow socket thing to remove the springs from the strut, I had to..

Yeah, warm beer. Maybe that's a north american slang term I thought was popular everywhere but isn't? Oops. Didn't mean to type warn. Meant warM lol

Yeah, I went to home Depot and bought the cheapest passthrough socket set I could find. Was more confident with that than a strap wrench or vice grips like some people use

This weekend has turned out to be gorgeous. The forecast called for so much rain. Ended being sunny as heck yesterday and today. Pretty warm, as well

Could be the sway bar. Drive around a little then park on a level surface to measure. If one side was pushed up before measuring ( pulled into a steep driveway or jacked up just one side) the sway bar holds up one side. Drive around to let it settle then measure, if it's still bad then I'm not sure what to do

That brings to mind a back-in-the-day story when I was stationed in Germany.

I had this planters wart (or something like that) that the battalion surgeon was afraid to remove, so he sent me down to the military hospital in Heidelberg to have a specialist remove it.

I slipped my combat boot and sock off and the surgeon came into the room with a container of frozen carbon dioxide (dry ice) and pulled out a sponge type thing on the end of a rod and laid it against my corn/wart, whatever.

Then he started digging into the side of my foot ...... then he said, the core of this sucker goes all the way into the bone ...... so, he dug it out.

After he was done, I said that hardly hurt at all ....... he said, you best put your boot on right now and get to your vehicle before it thaws out. He gave me a handful of codeine and sent me on my way.

I no longer reached my car when the pain kicked in, so I started popping codeine and in much pain headed for my quarters, where I slugged down a bottle of whisky and the rest of the codeine.

Yep, tight boots can be painful .......
