Is standard issue Nike or Oakley? I've seen Oakley sand color combat boots at SVP for $50 bucks and when I Googled them supposedly they were standard issues in the States?
![]() And the swoosh is trying to sell chumps this for like $200 something. ![]() ![]() I once saw some dude struggling hard to put these on at Foot Locker lmao! |

I tried them on in the nineties... Things are different now from what I gather.

Shit they pulled this stunt before at my first company. Basically they told peeps down in the States to either report at Colorado in 30 days or take a package. As for here on the day of the deadline I saw a few dozen people with Lowe Alpine camping bags sitting on the floor at the concourse. This was many many years ago. I heard some dude jumped off the top floor a couple weeks back. SMH! |

Back in the 60s, in the US Army, we had a single option to the standard issue combat boot.
They were made by Corcoran and they were expensive ($20). I would wear my Corcorans when we were not in the field and wear my issue boots in the field. humfrz PS ----- Nooooo ....... @Tcoat I was NOT in the "brown boot" Army .......

I just found this on Google.
That Nike boot outsole looks like something off the Nike Free.

I also desperately wanted a pair of the NB OTB boots, but they stopped production about 6 months before I found out about them and couldn't track down a pair in my size. |

Well, we presented the mountain bikes to the two older granddaughters after school today.
They were surprised and a bit intimidated. A 24" bike is a stretch for an 8 and 10 year old. It will take then a while to become comfortable on them. I realized I was getting old, when I overheard this conversation: Granddaughter - look mom, here is how you use the brakes, you always pull this one for the rear wheel first. Daughter - yes I know. Granddaughter - how did you know that? Daughter - because your pa-pa taught me that when I was about your age. Granddaughter - oh. The 11 month old granddaughter squealed with glee at the whole scene ...... 8 more years and I can teach her too ....... ![]() humfrz |
