I have read most of this entire thread. I learned a lot and am ready to get my SC in a couple weeks. Does anyone have an open source base tune they can send me. I would like to use it to create a tune for my car. One with a BOOD cal ID would be ideal, but any cal ID would do, to use as a reference. Thanks. Mike

Think it's worth an email to JB or should we just see if we can seal them up? |

Although, I did get my new clutch in, so I'll dyno in the next month or two. Ideally, I'll go back to the same place that my 210 dyno'd at to give a good comparison. |

Not taking over the lease and getting a BMW 5 series or Mustang gt350 reminds me of a movie quote.
"Those boards don't work on water!" "Unless you got power!"

Hey all -- Anyone have an older Innovate 210 without a 'sight glass' that shows the level of the SC oil? Mine just has a dipstick, and I find it to be darn-near-useless. The fluid isn't dark enough to see where on the dipstick that it lands, and by the time you screw it in all the way to get an accurate reading i'm concerned that the reading isn't accurate.
Am I somehow reading the dipstick wrong? I typically take it out, wipe it clear, place it into the SC, screw it in, take it back out and look for any sign of fluid. Should I be turning it some weird direction? It's not like an oil-reading where the fluid sticks nicely to the dipstick between 2 points. My solution has been to completely drain and replace the oil every 2 oil changes. But I sure wish I had an easier way to read things. |

I'm lucky in that the entrance to my garage is perfect to have my front end sticking out and rear in the garage which sloaps up a little, making the supercharger level without the need to jack it up.

Thanks Fellas --- I agree that jacking up the rear end is a pain. Adds 20 minutes to the project while I jack up each side individually.
The fluid that came out after 10,000 miles was darker.. so It didn't hurt to change, especially since it only takes 157ml. The instructions are REALLY specific ('Only put in exactly 157ml'). I'm hoping you can over/undershoot by several ml. I can't imagine the tolerances are SO tight that having 162ml or something is a problem. |
