Sorry to disagree but I have noticed that using 3-4 oz of TCW3 two cycle oil with each fill up has reduced the crickets by 90% and made the engine much more quiet.

90% is not eliminated (and not sure how you measured to get that number anyway). A bit surprised that you would continue to pour stuff into your fuel for this long when the manual expressly states not too use additives. It is not a two cycle engine and using oil in the fuel may be creating long term issues way worse than a chirp.

I've done it on other cars too...no issues. But you are right, it is a risk... time will tell. 90% improvement based on a seat of the pants estimate. Likely closer to 98%. Only hear them maybe 2-3 times during the summer when unusually hot outside and have been driving for over an hour.
