I get it. I do hear a slight difference and I'm rocking some Synergistic Research and Kimber cables. Digital cables are even funnier because either the bits get through or they don't. 😋

Which Kimber cable do you have? A buddy on an audio forum sent me a pair of the "Tonik" RCAs for free so I've been trying those out.

My birthday is in July and I wanted to do something kind of unique. I was thinking about cave diving, but does anyone have suggestions for cool activities around the bay area?

Hiking in yosemite is pretty fun that time of year. You could probably also hike up Halfdome.

Isn't Yosemite packed that time of year? I was thinking something I could do in one day, travel included.

Whether you like that change is another story. It comes down to your own opinion of what sounds better to your own ear. They were very nice cables though, MIT makes some good stuff. Just not sure they're worth the price.
I used to have some monster cables, then I switched to Mogami Gold TRS cables. Not much of an audible difference imho, although I wouldn't call Mogami high end, it was 100 bucks for the pair :/

These are going into KRK Rokit 5's, which I know are pretty basic.. but I can't really crank up volume much anyway in my apartment, which is why I bought the D2 and a nice pair of open headphones..

Mogami cables are legit! Nothing wrong with them, very nice cables.

Sup fellow KRK owner!? I use the Rokit 6s on my DJ setup

Could be. I haven't been in a few years. I've heard some people just leave and go super early in the morning before people really starting getting going there.

Oh man! I DJ too!
That's why I have all this gear, for DJing and music production

This is the second pair of Rokits I've had.. I had some Tannoy Reveal 601a before and LOVED them, till they crapped out on me.

I've got Beyerdynamic DT 990 250 Ohm headphones, and sound-wise, the Rokits can match em pretty damn well. They really are great for the price point!

I've been eyeballing the new Adam A3X, but I doubt I would really hear a difference..

My parents live up in Groveland, which is off the 120 entrance..and the park is definitely packed (and hot) that time of year.. Expect a wait at the gate, and then traffic down in the valley..and good luck parking in any of the turn outs or overlooks
