FR-S NAV Questions

I just got my car back from the dealership, and I noticed that when I plugged my Android phone into the USB port, it didn't start charging, and no 'USB mode' settings came up on my screen. I'm almost certain I could charge my phone before and the USB menu would come up on the screen. Does anyone know if it can charge with the NAV or why it will not?

I also notices a dramatic increase in time it takes for my phone to connect, but that is understandable, because I now have to wait for the NAV to boot up. Did anyone else notice this?

One last question: When I had the stock deck, when I would sit down it would start playing bluetooth audio from my phone automatically, and now I have to hit the play button manually. Is there any way I can change that? I went through the settings and didn't find anything, but I may have missed it.

Thanks!

Talk to your salesperson, you just spent a lot of money on your car. Now have them explain how to use your nav and other features in your car. There is always a Product specialist at a Toyota/Scion Dealership that will explain the features of your car.

I just took a drive through a drive-through fast food place, which was not fast at all. Fortunately, I was able to spend some time with my NAV system. I found a cable coming from my glove box that I didn't recognize or remember putting there. Turns out, it was a USB female. I guessed that they put it in when they installed the NAV. I plugged my phone into that, and it sure worked. Now I have to have a silly cable coming from my glovebox all the time. I'm sure there is a way to re-wire it to the stock USB port.

Just the Pioneer NAV system that the dealer sold me when I bought my car, to be put in at a later date, which was today.

An aftermarket Pioneer nav? Thats why the in-dash USB plug doesnt work. You can hack it to work:
