To my knowledge, yes. We dropped the skid plates and check all the ones we could see. We did find a broken bolt on the header's heatshield, but that has since been replaced. Sound still persisted afterwards. Only under light load... Once the engine settles out the sound goes away. The video I posted was from last Thursday; first time I heard it at idle w/ light revving.

My tech called me last night and requested to keep my car for the next couple of days. When he drops the trans to replace the TOB he wants to drop all the skid plates and headers to inspect further.

Not related to TOB? It is kind of hard to hear in the vid.

It is, you really have to tone out the exhaust. The tech and I don't believe it is. TBH, I don't believe there's an issue with my TOB. I'm just shy of 7,000 miles on the odo.. But shortly after break-in I could hear it starting to get dry, so the tech confirmed and wanted to replace it via the TSB to avoid issues in the future.

I'm still thinking it's a heatshield... or maybe something that's rubbing up against the block/ headers/ exhaust when the engine torques. I really don't know, man..

From the pic I see you have single exhaust. Any other changes?

I do not, just the Greddy catback (muffler & midpipe). However, the sound was occurring before the install.

That again rules that out. Back to guessing a heat shield that may look fine but isn't.
Be interesting to see what it is when you finally get it figured out.

Roger that. I'll post as soon as I hear back from the tech.

Update: mechanic broke a mount on my front pipe getting to the transmission, soooooo.... going to be another week until I get her back. They said that the rattling is most likely the exhaust anyway, so we'll see if replacing it does the trick. Will hopefully update at the end of next week. Already going through withdrawals. Lol

@Tcoat Got the car back yesterday evening. No metallic rattle noise as of yet (hopefully it stays that way). I was not able to get many specifics out of the tech due to the work load they had last night, but from what I read off the service sheet I received, after they replaced the TOB they went ahead and replaced the front pipe & studs along with it. I still need to look up part numbers to see exactly what was done, but for the time being all seems good.
