Really digging the Honda Grom, but that eliminates basically any road with a speed limit of 80+, which won't work when I want to go to the cottage, so a 250 or 300 seems to be the ideal.

Gotta get my damn license again, and convince the old man to be the primary rider, so instead of paying 12000 (yes, not a typo, twelve thousand) per year, I pay 600 per year. This way, I only need to feel bad about my mom crying every time I go out on the bike, and not feeling bad about my mom crying and being broke as fuck at the same time.

I'll also probably wear proper protective clothing 99% of the time I'm on the bike, instead of slim jeans, tennis shoes, a wife beater and carbon knuckle gloves. Wait, I was that douchey 20 year old, wasn't I?

I have come to the inescapable conclusion that you are the human personification of a certain meme.

Sorry that I have money for toys (phones, computer, motorcycle) and that I haven't put my finger on what car is coming after the FRS.

If you don't like my spitballing, I'm sure you know where the ignore button is, and there should even be a how to that Ichi provided a few pages back

Explain to her that your "lady friend" in Thunder Bay is just a "friend" and that it would save money by you staying with her ...... plus you would eat healthier.

Now, if your friend can't accommodate you, I hear tell that ol @Tcoat left a gal up there a few years back, that is all heartbroken, and is just pining away ...... I'm sure she would put you up ....... however, she may expect something in return ........ your call ......

Oh, you don't understand. The nearly 3 hour commute is because we're going to be staying in thunder Bay, way up north. Our job site is then 3 hours north of there. Literally the middle of nowhere.

The road commute is only going to be about an hour and a half, but then we have the right of way to try and get closer to where we're going to be working. We might need ATVs or an argo, or even have to take a helicopter in, depending on what access is like for some spots.

So does the angry young man one but yet you continue.

I could not possibly care less what you spend your money on and actually support much of it but damn man you need to actually commit to something every now and then.
Besides if you have to perform insurance fraud to buy a motorcycle it is probably not a great idea.

Ok, gotta ask, why in the world would it be 12,000 a year?

No comment on being indecisive (I spend an unhealthy amount of time on various car configurators), but I have an idea on how you can get the Mustang, pickup, cruiser (if not motorcycle), and exhaust out of the way efficiently:

I was 19 or 20, I'd had my beginners motorcycle license for all of 9 days and I was going to be riding a 600cc sport bike. Will most likely be more reasonable now but I haven't given much serious thought to it. Especially since Ill only ride it 2 or 3 days a month from mid May to late October. So, in that case with my dad as the primary, if he rides it to work 4 times in a month, he's actually the primary, @Tcoat.

Will he actually ride it that often though?

Not sure, probably depends a lot on what kind of bike I get, I'd like to get a sports bike but I don't like riding to the cottage on a crutch rocket and that would be my primary destination, other than going to the LCBO on the far side of town. I'm thinking probably I'll end up with a dual sport or a naked sports bike that's actually closer to a cruiser, ergonomically at least. Providing it's not a stupid hard core sports bike, he'd probably ride it

OK so if he doesn't then he would not be the primary.
Mind you I am not one to say anything about bikes since I have never even sat on one much less rode it.

Well, I figure that @Cole previously had developed a "history" with the motorcycle insurance industry ...... and that rate is special for him .....
