when i turn on the system it beeps once, then there is a little delay, then 5 slow beeps.

all connections appear fine, tried reseating the meter and foot pedal connectors as well.

Is this version 3?

Glad you mentioned this because it's a small issue that can make the whole thing go batty.

For anyone else with intermittent operation issues it's easy pop open the back of the voltmeter (one or two screws) and check that the solder on the input wires and/or connector are still holding up. If not, just re-solder. Cake.

Also check the ground and make sure the second switch is actually engaging.

Has anyone added a header after the ESC? I'm thinking about picking up OFH and wanted to see if I'll be able to tell a difference.

First click should keep it running. Shouldn't be short burst.

I'm running a JDL header for the past couple of weeks. I'm actually enjoying it more for the off boost applications than on boost.

But there is a noticeable increase in performance either way. It won't be much though under boost.

I've had the ESC/OFT/OFH combo for quite a while now and I couldn't be happier. That along with a Manzo V1 catback and it's the Ultimate.

As far as if you can tell the difference goes:

Yes you can tell the difference. It sounds outstanding. I don't know if the performance numbers are any better or not but to me just the exhaust note is well worth the price of admission.

You will never find a bolt on accessory that will ever beat the ESC for a price/performance/reliability combo. I just wish it was more readily available.
