Hooker Blackheart install

Just did an install of a hooker blackheart cat-back exhaust. I think it sounds good. Install wasn't too bad. I had a few problems:

One I had was fitting the pipe with the resonator onto the bent pipe with the hanger on it. It's a slip on and the part that slipped over was super tight, so I had to bend them out a little and use WD40. It was so tight I couldn't turn the bend pipe to get the right angle without the resonator pipe turning with it. Had to use a strap wrench to turn one pipe and hold the other. Once I got them lined up I had to run a ratcheting tie down from the hanger on the pipe to the center bearing bracket to pull them together.

Also, the left muffler slip on piece was smashed in, so I had to beat them back out, which made fitting it a little tricky, but not bad. They could have prevented this with better packing.

Ouch. Never understood exhaust manufacturers opting for slip joints versus standard 2 bolt flanges. Seems like a cost cutting measure that falls into the "penny smart, dollar foolish" category.
