Having Tires mounted on expensive wheels

You guys must have better luck with Discount Tire than me. I will NEVER allow a Discount Tire shop to touch any of my vehicles again. Twice at two separate Discount Tire shops I had wheels badly scraped up and they refused to do a thing about it. Not machine caused damage either, both times it was the wheels being dropped onto the ground face down damaging the face of the wheel. Both times the manager basically shrugged his shoulders and said there was nothing that they can do about it. These were both in the Orlando area.

I've heard similar horror stories about the one local to me now, but obviously, I've never been there myself.

Yea but you are in Florida, for whatever reason it is an automotive desert when it comes to actual decent people at tire places, and there are basically no independent mechanics to be found. The town I lived in everyone went to Wal Mart because their lead mechanic was really good and made sure all his people were.

I found a small independent shop off university and davie road extension. They have a touchless machine and did a great job. The owner himself did the job instead of some young kid. I was very happy with the work. They didnt want to work with me to much on tire prices so next time i will buy the tires from tirerack or something.

Thankfully there are two places (both independent shops) near where I am now that I trust to do tire mounting and balancing.
