It's one thing to see a car with lambo doors, an over done paint job, trunk full of audio equipment and ugly wheels. Then compare it to a car that has a nice drop, clean n simple exterior and wheels with a nice yet aggressive offset, I don't see how folks can hate on that.

Besides, they don't drive around pancaked all of the time, just when they are parked.
I don't hate it per se, but that ride height cannot be used on track (a much more limited strut travel distance + really low tread wall + don't even want to know how much over stock the wheel/tire weight is...) as effectively as a completely stock FR-S/BRZ with sticky stock sized tires. Sure racecars are low with stiff suspensions, but they actually have tire walls that are an important part of the setup. I think it looks fine (minus the hideous wheels - meh looks with excessive size and weight), but it's a waste of ~$5k if you are going to track the car with any kind of regularity: ~$5k that could so be better spent on other things. If not tracking a car or very rarely tracking one I have no issue with someone doing this, though that system is retarding the vehicle's handling capability (especially because of wheel/tire combo like that) at that ride height.

I want to see some videos of it on track going 100% at that ride height. Something other than going in a straight line... and with a stock car on sticky tires in stock size for comparison.

all yes but what bug me is some of the people here will never ever see a track or anything close to it but the way thay talk about stuff they read or someone told them they acting like know it all #1 race car drivers.

If top secred came out with fra on air and agresive drop and noone will know it on air lot of ppl woul be drooling and than top secret would release that it on air and its a good way to do it all this possers would switch around and start saying ooo air is a good thing lol its just funny when u read this forums lol

I like the airbags. And i mostly like that car but my only complaint is the wheels could be an inch or 2 smaller. I don't only like bags for the style but for its actual usefulness. I don't go to tracks but I still like to have the performance aspect to it. Not everyone with airbags is gonna turn it into a scraper with 20's. My car scrapes entering nearly every parking lot I go into and I keep wishing I had airbags. And if I knew coilover kits existed I would've already had it years ago!

I honestly don't care about performance in relation to this; that car is just ugly as sin. I cannot stand the 'slammed' look. It is absolutely repulsive, yet hilarious, to me.

I just googled AirRex and they run on the track. They don't run that low all of the time and they can adjust the height whenever then want to.

Yea, because no one has ever done this to a Toyota, or Honda, or Cadi, or Chevy, or Ford or.....

(I should have added, its not my style and it makes me shake my head but I'm really OK with it. Not only is it "their car their money" but this kind of work creates a lot of jobs in small businesses. I say no harm, no foul)

Agreed. As much as I have always been dubious to the Scion brand, I can't say the Honda crowd is any better "at their prime." I bet the number of beater Civics with gaudy paint jobs, primer/mismatched aero kits, and fart-can exhaust would outnumber the tC crowd a good 10:1. Then you have the skittle car crowd. I don't think it's fair to single out one brand in this case.

There are very few cars that I like seeing "floored" and any newer car is probably not on the list. The AE86 and CR-X are though.

No one said that it's not done to those other cars, however the frequency is a lot higher in the scion "image". Anyway, I do agree with you. It is that person's car and they can make it look awesome, look like shit, or blow it up with explosives for all I care. We all enjoy our vehicles differently right?

I think some of it is geographic as well. I know I see very few Scions in Atlanta that have been pimped/slammed/name your deviation here. I know they exist because I've seen the shows, but I see a dozen or more Hondas, GMs and others that have been every day in my commute, and never a Scion.

Maybe they just don't drive in the same circles that I do.
