Has there EVER been a manual transmission car made that can prevent a high rpm miss-shift into a low gear from seriously overrevving the motor past redline?

I thought he drove automatics.

Srsly, nothing. Just having some fun. You can accidentally downshift from redline and turn it inside out just as easily as any other.

Might be asking since he probably has done it before.

I've not seen a money shot in a FR-S/86 yet. I did not know there was porn filmed in one. What movie?

According to miata.net some miata engines are non interference.

Capable of spinning at 44,500 rpm, it would be hard to get a car to go fast enough to money shift and blow this puppy up ......

Why are you worried about that? Chain-driven cams. Pistons let go of the wrist pins before valve float.

I wouldn't worry about that with this engine since it has a timing chain(s) not a timing belt.

A lot of smaller, high performance engines, are interference types.

I've snapped a clutch into three pieces doing this. The engine made the most unholy of noises, but thankfully no damage to it, just the clutch.

I believe the older ones were non-interference; but the newer ones are interference type engines.

There actually is a scene from a porno shot in/on a 86 (not sure if it was a FRS or BRZ). Someone posted a link to the scene on Facebook once LOL
