I wish the engine would handle misshifts well :(

Just when I fucking thought I had read it all...

"Is the engine in the twin prone to money shifts"

That's usually a function of gearbox and shifter spacing more than the motor.

I think what the OP is talking about is downshifting and over revving the engine, so as to cause damage to the engine.

Most all piston driven, internal combustion engines, when coupled to a manual transmission, can be "money shifted".

With this car, you CAN do a money shift ......but, you can only let the clutch out once per engine ......:eyebulge:

Seriously, accel, since you are just considering getting one, this engine is no more prone than any other MT car.

For us old farts, there's always Urban Dictionary.

For the younger set, go ahead, try out definition two and let us know IF the rev limiter saves all.

This thread reminded me of this quote " “Has anyone really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like?"

My head truly hurts now. Thanks accel.

It should've been "Repairs: BMW" though. No, not from money shift. BMW tought me to value reliability. And what's wrong with checkin potential MT candidates for Monet Shift protection :) ?

I think what you're asking in the stupidest fucking way possible is whether this is an interference engine or non-interference engine. This is an interference engine. You'll actually have to learn not to drive like a dipshit if you want to keep the car running.
