I thought he could be on 93 just because solcal has 93.
I'm pretty sure the timing was retarded by the ECU or intentionally by Delicious knowing he would be running e85 most of the time. I'm sure they could have forced a tune, but it may have been risky. |

Dyno tuned the car today.
The low line is my car with a tomei header, untuned... the best I've got for a baseline. https://www.facebook.com/vittuned/po...93103370901328

Gotcha. So those are sweet gains. Looks like 120whp+. E85?

I don't know what the "stock" pulley is. The one the kit came with originally was total junk and we swapped it out to the next step up one. I don't think I'd recommend anyone run the base pulley...
Car makes 11.5psi @ 7300 rpm. Car has a 100% stock fuel system. If you can get E85 to work on a 100% stock fuel system with this blower (or really any F/I making 10psi+ boost) you've met a miracle man... -_- |

This guy used a smaller pulley too, 10psi. One of the first ones to get the kit from the other Harrop thread. I don't know why he didn't do a 4th gear pull with 93 or why do a 3rd gear pull at all. 4th with autos are 1:1, right? Anyways, in 3rd he made 270whp with decent mods. Who knows the other conditions like altitude or weather. http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showp...&postcount=146 |

With E85 I feel the pulley Jay is using could make ~300ish (it makes 11.5psi @ 7300 rpm, and about 12psi at 7600 rpm), but we need an injector upgrade first. That would be a solid 160whp+ over his "stock w/ raceheader" baseline and over 140whp over his "tuned w/ race header" baseline. Great kit from Harrop, very clean install, I liked it. |

It's good to see a tuner drop the pulley size by default - should in time prove that it can be done safely and mean that the rest of us are basically missing out on free power. I would like to be up around 260-270whp myself. Currently at 240whp with the standard pulley and fully stock exhaust. |

Will it show gains, right? Thats the real question when you say work. More psi could just result in more knock causing the motor to retard timing which gives it less power, right? Im curious too. Where is the starving point for the injectors and where is the point where knock is an issue on pump gas?
