DIY - Push to Start button relocation

Hello! Another fun DIY coming your way.

I decided to install PBM's hydro ebrake, which is neatly hidden under the center console. However, the lever comes in through the spot where the Push to Start button is on Master Race cars, so I decided to relocate it.

First I wanted to relocate it to the steering column, where the keyhole for the Peasant Mobiles is, but there is barely any space behind the plastic trim:

The Push to Start unit is extremely long, so that made it tricky to find a place.

Then I decided to put it next to the tachometer, since there is plenty of space behind it. All you need to do is cut the plastic holding the wires from the smart key sensor and the Push to Start together in a harness, so that you can separate both of them, and then tape them separately (see poor picture with yellow tape making 2 different harnesses #colormatchallthethings)

Then disassemble the interior trims around the tachometer, cut a big enough hole in the plastic behind it to be able to slide the long unit at an angle (since making the tabs line up will require you to insert it at an angle) and then cut a perfectly sized hole in the actual plastic trim.

Glue the unit in place with hot glue, making sure to make it flush with the upper portion (the plastic trim is rounded, so one side will have to not be flush... no one will look from under it, so make it that one) and re-assemble!

As always, I hope that helps!!
