I have a fair amount of camber in the back on the M3, and the insides of the tires were getting hot fast (Louisiana heat doesn't help). But you should monitor temperatures regardless of the tire. How many miles were on the tires? I've never heard this, but then again most of my friends are on either Star Specs or some form of R-comp.

OP, your TPMS will probably come on after a few miles. Wheels look nice though!

The old Azenis were like that too. People at the autoX would spray them.

To be fair, the HTR Z IIIs probably had ~15k on them vs ~2k on the Star Specs when I autocrossed with them.

15k is plenty of time for the grease from manufacturing to be gone... Well now I know the Z IIIs get greasy.

That makes sense. I think 15K miles particularly if they've gone through several extreme heat cycles is a lot to ask of any tires being used competitively. When I road raced motorcycles, I get about 5-6 heat cycles and less than 100 miles before the set was deemed practice-use only or sell as race take-offs. For me that translated into a new set every race weekend with the prior weekend's set used for the following weekend's practice day. The factory pros change more often than that and typically sell their cast-offs to track day or street guys.

Update after about 40 miles or so TPMS light came on and comes each start. Off to the dealer for the reset!
