Do the BRZ headlights make a noise normally?

I had an accident and ruined a brz headlight. The bulb and power supply were intact so I saved them.
I thought I could use it as a desk lamp in the garage with a 12VDC power supply.
Well I got it working but it makes an annoyingly loud buzzing noise that disqualifies it from being used frequently.

Just curious if this is normal for these lights or was mine damaged in the accident?

Yes. It is the high voltage supply that came out of the headlight bucket.
I had it connected to a spare battery to test it.

Yea mine buzz when I click them on without the engine running.

I can't tell if they continue to buzz with the engine running, since the engine noise is fairly overpowering.

Yup, mine make a fairly audible buzzing/humming noise that you can hear when the engine is off.

Light travels faster than sound, not being in a car, the sound finally caught up, and thus now you can hear it
