So I talked to delicious tuning yesterday. I guess it's not abnormal for it to have a rough start on the 85 every once in a while, nothing to stress about unless it happens all the time. After her headers and remap I am going to have her dyno tuned. Juuuust to fine tune her as much as possible. On start up this morning she was solid. First jump to 2k RPM then slowly made her way to idle at just under 1k. Nice and steady. I'll keep an eye on her in the mornings just to make sure. We had some fun in the rain on the way to work today. Roads are just slippery enough to have some fun but not flooded. We'll see. Those borlas officially shipped this morning. Now if I could just get the new shoes here...

good to hear! when I started mine this morning, I wondered how yours would do.
yeah nice and soggy morning in SD. I was tempted, turned off the nannies but didn't kick out at all. I worry more about other drivers getting scared haha

I approve picking up a Daytona, but get the 675R version cause carbon fiber. I miss the fuck out of mine.

E85 right now not really e85 (even in Texas where its pretty damn warm) I am showing 75 for me.

If you are logging and your Trims are within +/- 5 you shouldn't worry. If you have a flex fuel tune, it will changed based on the Ethanol content. Its not an automatic 'learn, fix, everything runs perfect' type of deal. I've been running flexfuel for a while...even though I only pump E85.

Rough cold starts on E85 are normal, its the nature of the fuel. Hence the reason less ehtanol is used in the colder months. Yes, you can get it smoothed out but it wont be perfect. Not really a big deal!

The 675R is what's sitting at the dealer just waiting for me to pick her up. Did you ever change the height on yours? It's so damn tall. I can barely reach at all, I'd have to lower the seat down a little bit.
Thank you for the ease of mind on the rough start. I love the flexfuel a lot. Car drives MUCH better than before. Do you have a gauge to tell you exactly what content you're at?

Most bikes are within about an inch of each other for seat height 0o. You must be tiny! I've never had an issue I'm just under 6 foot though. I changed nothing about the bike before I sold it (Moved off Hawaii)

Issue you should be aware of for the Daytona; There is a valve on the exhaust that opens and closes that has to be adjusted pretty constantly. It will throw a Check Engine light, but you can hear it binding and its not a big deal, lots of people remove it when they get a new exhaust, or just use a tune to disable it completely.

The Daytona rides WAY different than the R6, you dont need to wind it out for power. I loved that damn bike. Tempted to get another, but looking at an 1199 instead

I currently use the OFT for my logging, I have the sensor, and I just monitor the first 10 miles or so of a new tank of gas, then unplug it till the next fill up.

Seat height makes a huge difference for those of us more vertically challenged (we'll call me 5' 6" although it seems to vary +-1" depending on the day). A half-inch in seat height can make the difference between being comfortable or not.

Also, I've found that seat height isn't the only consideration as the width can make a huge difference if you are "marginal" in height. I had a 1982 GL650 (probably the most comfortable bike I've ever owned) that had a 31" seat height and was absolutely no issue for me. I've ridden other bikes with less seat height where I had issues getting a toe on the ground on both sides, never mind flat-footing it.

Thanks for the heads up!! I'll probably mod the exhaust before I even bring it home. lol... I'm 5'10". idk man I feel super uneasy about being so high up on that thing. It doesn't feel like the same height as my R6. Sorry you had to move off of Hawaii too lol. If I could live anywhere in the world I'd live on Kauai or Maui. I miss that place. Lord knows if I go I probably will just say fuck it and not come back LOL.

LOL okay this made me feel a little better. I thought maybe I was going crazy. I like legit can barely touch the ground on the daytona. The R6 I can get all 5 toes to at least touch

Oh, duh, yeah smoked makes more sense. Just get those bright LEDs still though, so you can still be "legal" and hopefully not get hassled.

Also post up some 2017 sized/resolution photos, people want to see your headlights.
