Just foam between the ring and he vent to center it. Squeeze fit. Actually works very well.

you were running a cat-less header with a catted front pipe? Do you need to pass PA emissions testing, and did that work?

I actually never tried emissions with it. I thought the dual cats were only needed for California and HI? I thought only one cat is needed for all other 48, but I could be wrong?
