If this is the case, it seems like it's the bearing in the supercharger itself. But that's hard to tell from the video. Also, do any of your pulleys wobble? If your pulleys wobble then I can definitely say you have a bad bearing in any of your pulleys that wobble. I've had that happened to me before. The only other thing I can suggest is send a video to kraftwerks and let them determine since they are most likely able to tell you what's wrong with it. Sorry I could be much more of a help

I actually did send it to Kraftwerks without much help. I was told it could be the bearings or the blower itself. and that it might have to be sent to Denmark for inspection..... which I really REALLY don't want to do. If its the Supercharger bearing would that be something that could be replaced without having to send the whole unit away?

If you are mechanically inclined to do so it is, but completely voids your warranty of the rotrex unit. What I would do first since it's super simple is order new pulleys with new bearings from kraftwerks. Replace the pulleys that are on the adapter plate. See if the noise goes away. If it does, you just solved your problem! If it doesn't... well looks like you can either open up your rotrex or have to send to Denmark.

Any idea how much all new pulleys and bearings are?

To be honest, I have no idea. All I remember was that when my pulleys started to wobble which caused my second belt to rip, they replaced my pulleys/bearings and belt free of charge since I was still underneath the 2 year warranty.

The only pricing that I saw that I was offered was $50 for the boost pulley... I can't imagine the pulleys being more expensive than that. Maybe $10 a pulley? Something that I would recommend to ask them. If you're still under warranty, not sure if you posted previously saying you purchased used/new, they should be able to send you out replacements for free.

Got the new pulleys overnight shipped to me. Send out yesterday and got here this morning. Pretty awesome actually. Hopefully I can pinpoint the noise to 1 of the 3 pulleys. If its the boost pulley im gonna be really sad....

Wow, that's awesome. I'm still waiting to hear back about getting replacement crush washers for my supercharger reservoir...... lol glad they took care of you.

I'd replace all the three pulleys at once to avoid having to take off the bracket every single time you need to replace a pulley. So once all the pulley are replaced and you are still hearing a noise, you can point it to the supercharger. Good luck, I hope it isn't the SC.

To save me trolling through 293 pages here, can someone please tell me the highest power recorded on a built engine using this kit on a C38.

I think there are some people that run with highest boost pulley and ethanol you'll easily be able to get to 400-500s stock motor how long that will last? Who knows. With a built motor who knows what power since that solely depends on how you build it. But the blower is capable of 700 easy.

Thanks for your reply friend.. sounds very interesting.

I have Carillo H beam rods, Custom CP 10.5:1 Pistons with over size pins and custom crown design as I have no DI. (Details in my build thread). My engine is dry sumped and I want to get it as low as possible with my Samsonas 'box and back as far as I can. This is why I'm thinking of SC as the install will be lighter, neater and lees heat producing than my current GTX3071R planned install.

When pushing big power with these SC's does the curve still stay pretty linear?

Hi guys,

I just put on my C30 Blower kit last month, and finally tuned it. As some of you guys might know, the gas up here in Canada is much worse than stateside, and we tend to make less power. From experience, my tuner used to tune Kraftwerk C30 kits for roughly 225-230WHP (235-240 on dynojet), on Canadian Chevron 94 Octane.

I tuned mine last week, and had it all the way up to 255 (268 WHP on Dynojet), which was quite alot more than we expected, with 13.3 PSI up on the top end. Up to 255 WHP there was slight knock, so we tuned it done to 250 with 0 knock everywhere.

I am a little bit iffy on the high PSI number, in terms of reliability. I have called Kraftwerks and asked if it was abnormal to have a C30 making around 13 lb of boost, and they said its a bit high but not abnormal based on the modifications I have.

I just want to hear what other people think, and if I should try to lower the boost (which I do not know how)

My mods that can effect this is as follows:

C30 Blower Kit (I believe it has the standard pulleys but upgraded version)
HKS Equal Length Catted Header
T1R Overpipe
Stock Front Pipe
Tomei 80R
HKS Spark Plugs (1 step colder)
Koyorad Race Radiator

What's measuring your boost? Seems high for the standard set up

None of your modifications should change the boost. As above I would look into where you are measuring your boost
