yea Subie dealers could care less about the BRZ I believe.. Here in the NYC area they're an exotic and not one dealer had any. No test drives and if you wanted one you had to order with a deposit.

In fact the few dealerships I visited actually tried to convince me to purchase a WRX instead claiming it was much better suited in practicality..

But I love cars like I love my women..they have to be sexy

Nope not almost WRX really. Not even as much HP as a Twin. But vastly superior to the WRX in almost every other way. When they switch the WRX/STi over to this platform I truly believe they will have the best car of the type ever made. I only had a brief test drive and didn't really put it through it's paces yet but it is so far ahead of the old Impreza platform you would not believe it.

Oh, and it is a hatch.

Not what the car was meant to be. They have a WRX and don't need to make every other car the same as it. These are a very nice, safe, comfy gas sipping commuting car. Now, it is the new global platform for all their smaller cars and they will build a WRX on it. Just a waiting game at this point.

Has the sales gone south that bad? Or maybe they're just preparing for a new shipment of 2018? Either way, hope this isn't a bad sign of things to come.. Sad to see all the SUVs & wagons taking over the whole lot.
Sounds like a good thing.....they're selling (;

Do you know when will the New WRX/STI based on this global platform come out?

No. They have made it pretty clear that it will be built on the new platform but have been a bit wishy washy on the when.

Huh not bad at all. Next car I buy will have to be a 5 door family car. Wife has the jeep but we are planning for kids in the future so we will need a 2nd vehicle that can be driven all year round and easily get kids in and out.

Still waiting on the car. Of course she had to have the top trim in the rarest colour. Should have an idea today as to when it will actually show up. I liked it enough on the brief city test drive that we stopped shopping for others and that actually says a lot since we love car shopping.

Don't think it will take that long. Every model year that goes by using two different platforms costs them money. The Crosstrek is slatted to go to the platform for 18 and I doubt the WRX will be far behind it.
